Lindos | Rhodes | Greece

Vicki & Liam

We met at a local charity night. I saw liam at the bar and asked a friend to introduce us, two days later we went on our first date, and we never looked back.

7 years and two beautiful children later, I came home from work on new years day to find a note on the doorstep. At the end of a trail of candles i found liam on one knee and our children holding a sign they made saying ' will you marry daddy?' And of course this was the beginning of our journey to marry in beautiful lindos.

We knew we wanted to get married abroad, and we originally looked at Mexico but after spending some time searching for our dream location we came across st pauls Bay and I instantly fell in love.

We had never been to rhodes but we thought it looked absolutely beautiful and we weren't wrong.
We did lots of research and decided to go with lindos Weddings as they had lots of great reviews and were really helpful and professional.

Due to covid we had an intimate wedding with just our children and parents. Our day was cancelled 3 times but nothing was ever too much trouble for karen and her team and 4th time lucky we finally made it.

Our ceremony was at St pauls, my 8 yr old daughter sang a thousand years as I walked down the aisle and we had mark usher playing the guitar and singing too.

My 6 year old son was 'best boy' he looked adorable. We opted for the water station on the day have you say .., it was a godsend in the heat.

We then had a boat cruise (another godsend in the heat). We had Antonio's as our photographer with his wife who did the video. They were fab from start to finish and put me at ease straight away.

After the boat cruise he took us into the village to capture some beautiful scenery shots.

Our reception was at odyssia. We kept the decor simple as the place is just traditional and stunning as it is. Amber set up an activity table for our kids and stayed with them until we arrived.

We had pimms for a welcome drink and the meze meal and I can honestly say it was the best meal we have ever had. We had the courtyard to ourselves. They played a playlist we put together and we danced the night away.

My dress was Mckinley by Enzoani. I wanted a to keep my accessories simple as didnt want to take anything away from the dress which had swarovski spaghetti straps and a huge train. I wore small drop earrings and a matching bracelet that my mum had bought me.

My bouquet was a summery blue and pink to match the mens blue dickies bows and my hair and makeup was kept 'glam'...I felt a million dollars.

My special moments were our daughter singing me down the aisle and my son saying his 'best boy' speech which he wrote all on his own, being able to include our children in our special day made it even more magical.

If I could say anything about our day I'd say it was definately worth the wait and more perfect than we very could of imagined. Future brides, you are in the best hands with Líndos Weddings, getting married in the most perfect location, no need to stress ….just enjoy every moment.
