Lyndsay & Warren Jones

Another wonderful love story from Lyndsay and Warren Jones married here May 2022 ….

So we got together in February 2003, then Warren went to Camp America for a few months in May. We then got engaged on Christmas Day, and moved in together immediately. Warren proposed to me as we were opening Christmas presents in bed.

When we first met the perfume I always wore was ‘Armani She’. Warren always knows when I wear it, as it reminds him of when we first met.
So it was only right that was the perfume I wore on my Wedding Day. Warren surprised me with this as as a gift to open along with a Pandora charm with ‘wife’. This was the only charm I wore on my bracelet on our day.

We chose Lindos weddings as we Attended Warrens step sisters wedding in 2019 in Lindos. We fell in love with Rhodes, Lindos, the Greek people, the culture, the food and the beautiful scenery. We’ve been together for 19 years and travelled a lot, including many visits to the Caribbean, but Lindos was different. Once we got home the seed was planted and we got in touch with you to start the ball rolling! Our experience with Lindos Weddings was excellent. Especially with having to postpone a year due to covid. In a matter of a few days everything was re-booked and sorted for the following May.

Now I’m guessing this doesn’t happen very often but I left the planning to Warren, and he did so well! The venue and hotel for us and guests were perfect! We wanted the natural outdoor feel to our day, with perfect views and fresh air, soft lighting and cozy feel to the night. If that’s what other people strive for then Philosophia is the place. Absolutely stunning! Barbra and her team was excellent. Couldn’t of asked for better! My dress was slim fitting with long trail designed by Mori Lee. Shoes from Charlotte Mills, very sparkly! They looked so nice in the sun! I bought it from a shop in Liverpool called Natalie Ann Brides.

We both agreed a few days later the realisation of what we were doing really hit home when the first bars of our aisle song began to play, “What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get” By Snowpatrol. Thats when all the hard work and stress of the last few years come crashing down to that moment. The emotional happiness and excitement is overwhelming. To see all our family and friends there for us is such a good feeling. Philosophia captures all of this emotion and happiness in the soft breeze and sunset, it’s truly magical. That song means so much to us as that’s the song we listened to over and over before Warren went away to America in 2003. That song has been ‘our song’ for all those years through thick and thin, and there we was dancing to it at our wedding 19 years later with our children, family and friends who were waving sparklers over us and Mark usher DJ with his lighting and smoke machine. Magical.

We chose a good package for photographer as we wanted him there to capture everything! Bride getting ready with maids, shots of groom with best man and ushers, isle walk, cake cutting, speeches, and first dance. We would highly recommend putting as much as you can into your photographer especially if your in a venue like Philosophia. We added through Lindos Weddings the luxury lighting package late on and so glad we did. It was so nice once the sun set and twinkly lights come on.

The food we choose for our wedding was lamb shank or chicken kleftiko. Everyone of our 60 guests praised the food as delicious. We now know why Philosophia has such a good reputation. We put a bar tab on for the night for our guests. Barbara’s team would just give us a nudge when it was running low and we’d top it up. Perfect! Our Wedding cake was a 3 tier red velvet. Wow ! Stunning! There was that much of it we were giving it to people around the pool bar the next night !

We have loads of favourite moments of our day, dancing with our children at the top table to our entrance song was magical, our first dance with guests waving sparklers too, and of course seeing Warren choke up trying to read his speech made everyone cry!

To describe our wedding day in 3 words would be
Magical, breathtaking, perfect!
