Let me take you on my journey where I married the love of my life John in a beautiful Greek village in August this summer  love Joanne x

We Met in Spain 2008 .  John surprised me with trip to Lindos in 2018 and proposed in cozze champagne,  we found lindos Weddings while walking through the beautiful streets of lindos 

We came back to Lindos summer 2019 and had a meeting in the Lindos Weddings office and went to view several venues.  We then booked in summer 2021 but had to postpone to August 2022.  Karen and Yvonne where absolutely stars with our venue changing 4 times !! and dates 3 times !! , and my million emails and zoom calls……..

Kay helped so much with change of venues and decor and then we finally

decided on the stunning location of Melenos for our ceremony and wow its so beautiful !!  With all the flowers and that view !!  all we added was sashes and olive twigs to the chairs.  Our guitarist Mark played and sang for our guests while they arrived for our ceremony enjoying pimms in the garden lounge overlooking the ocean 

Walking down the aisle with my son giving me away was just magical. Then it was such a shock my brother surprised me as we thought he couldn't come !  It was so emotional, as we lost both our parents in the last 2 yrs, there was not one dry eye…

Yvonne and Despina made all the arrangement for my brother and partner without even asking me, it was the most amazing surprise and something I will never forget 

We had champagne and canapés in the garden lounge after our ceremony with the most incredible view whilst Antonis played the sax 

We walked through the village with locals and holiday makers shouting congratulations …it was just magical ….

We got to Medest our chosen reception venue, which is so beautifully traditional Greek.  My guests enjoyed strawberry daiquiris on arrival.  For our decoration we opted for the glass package with greenery , we chose to have our chairs decorated with sashes and twigs ( i must say the staff where absolutely fabulous and could not do enough for us).  We had a fantastic evening and danced to the early hours.  Tanya was our DJ and played a great set of  music which begun as myself and John arrived.

We had mezzo starter and for mains we selected Steak, chicken souvlaki and melitzana parmesana.  Our Wedding cake was our dessert , a 2 tier Victoria sponge and chocolate and honestly was the most delicious cake ever !! We choose wine for dinner and a free bar all day / night.  We literally danced from we got there, they had to ask us to sit to have dinner . My first dance was  … Tom Walker ( you and I )

My dress was Maggie sottero , elegant but simple with detail through the top of very tiny pearls and diamantés.  I had my hair put up very simple with pearl pins.  My make up was soft copper / brown tones again very natural to match the girls dresses.  I am a hairdresser and was bit nervous having someone else but honestly they done better than I could ever imagined
