Cherelle & Lawrence
We were childhood sweethearts and met when I was sweet sixteen. We enjoyed our life together and were overjoyed when we welcomed our beautiful daughter Ella into the world. Five years ago, I woke up on my birthday and the three of us spend the day together, it was a cold November evening and I could sense Lawrence had something on his mind, he was going to surprise me when our daughter Ella let it slip which was so funny and Lawrence got down on one knee, it was such a special memory for us three as a family.
We planned our wedding to be in the summer month of June 2019 and we were excited to think that we would be surrounded by all our family and friends in the breathtaking village of Lindos in Rhodes. We always knew it had to be Lindos, as it has always had a special place in our hearts.
I came across Lindos weddings and before I knew it, our wedding was booked, Karen and her team are fantastic. The wedding planners took care of everything and everyone on the day.
I choose my dress called The White One by San Patrick, a Spanish designer. I fell in love with this dress immediately, it was fitted at the top with ruffles that went out from the thigh. I decided to have rustic flowers for my bouquet a mixture of beautiful bright flowers.
We had chosen our ceremony to be held in the historical boutique hotel gardens of Melenos, overlooking the sea. The views across the bay are absolutely incredible. I will never forget Ella, when the ceremony ended and we both said “I do”....our daughter Ella broke down in tears, she was so emotional and happy, it was a very special moment for us and it really pulled at my heart.
It really was an amazing day that my family and I will remember forever. After the ceremony we boarded a boat for our champagne cruise with all our guests and enjoyed our wedding meal on the main beach of Lindos, under the stars.
Our first dance was so special, The one..... by kodaline, these words meant so much to us and really does sums up everything for me so well. When we danced, we were so nervous the DJ asked everyone to join us, which was just perfect for me !
The staff at Melenos and Lindos main beach were amazing, the food was beautiful at both venues and nothing was to much trouble. Everybody including our hairdresser who listened to what everybody wanted was fantastic, as was our gutarist at our ceremony and the DJ in the evening. We had Greek dancers who were great fun and got everybody up enjoying themselves. Antonis Giannelis and Tracy our photographer and videographer were so lovely and captured all our special moments. My only wish is that we could do it all over again!
